Every once in a while, you meet someone whose story sticks with you long after the conversation ends. My recent interview with Kinnaya Stone was one of those moments.
Kinnaya is an above-knee amputee who lost her leg in a devastating car accident as a teenager. She shared with me what it was like to navigate such a life-changing event at a young age; the physical challenges, the mental health struggles, and the emotional toll it took on her.
What stood out the most was her openness about the role faith played in her recovery. For Kinnaya, faith wasn’t just a comfort, it was the foundation that kept her grounded and gave her the strength to push forward when things felt impossible.
But Kinnaya’s story isn’t just about survival. It’s about vision and determination. She has a big dream: to one day open her very own food truck. Her passion for cooking, combined with her resilience and creativity, makes me confident that it’s only a matter of time before we see that dream roll into reality.
Kinnaya’s journey is a reminder that our challenges don’t define us, our response to them does.
